I'm connected.....

I don't personally know many people in "the arts". So when I found out that a friend of ours had been training to become an archaeologist, but then sidetracked himself to explore some of "the arts", I was pleased to learn that he had been "discovered" recently and is now showing at the Swirl gallery downtown. I had an opportunity to buy one of his first major pieces, Raptor, before the piece was brought to the gallery. I passed. Huge mistake. The price has likely gone up significantly, putting it out of my range. Explore some of the rest of Jordie Berry's work here. My sample pic doesn't show off the fact that the piece is not just a painting - it's 3D, made with plaster. It's very striking.
