Picture this - a reggae band covering Led Zeppelin tunes, fronted by an Elvis impersonator. Isn't that wild? If that doesn't sound too far out, then you should give Dread Zeppelin a listen. The album Un-Led-ed is their first and inarguably best outing. Even Robert Plant was (apparently) quoted as saying he liked their version of "Your Time is Gonna Come" better than the Zep original. Tortelvis' ramblings during the break in Whole Lotta Love is funnier than hell. I put up samples of Black Dog and Whole Lotta Love.
Spread the Dread!

Google Alerts flagged you as a potential Dread Zeppelin fan, and after reading your post, I think Google was right. We have a little Yahoo! Group (http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/DreadZeppelin/) where we try to keep close tabs on this band. In fact, we count among our members, Tortelvis himselvis. Also making the occasional post is Charlie Haj (he can't talk, but the man can type), Butt-Boy, Bob Knarley and Jah Paul Jo. Join up and you'll likely meet some folks that will scare you with their obsession over these guys.
