If you're a user of the free version of AVG anti-virus (version 7.1) you've probably been receiving notices that it is being discontinued and will no longer be supported after January 2007. This has already got a few of my clients freaking out. While this is true, it doesn't tell the whole story. Version 7.1 has been replaced by version 7.5, for which there is also a free version. Grisoft doesn't make this abundantly clear, but rest assured you can continue to get and use AVG for free. This page has the download and (most importantly) the instructions.

AVG not dead!
