The new (next?) version of Monopoly won't have the classic Monopoly money - instead they're using a play ATM machine and Monopoly debit card. When I first read this, it was so funny I thought for sure it was a hoax. What I want to know is - does the banker now get to charge players a bank fee?

No more funny money
The new (next?) version of Monopoly won't have the classic Monopoly money - instead they're using a play ATM machine and Monopoly debit card. When I first read this, it was so funny I thought for sure it was a hoax. What I want to know is - does the banker now get to charge players a bank fee?

I don't know how I feel about this exactly...I guess for the new generation they don't know anything else. I will still keep playing with good old cash.
Then there's the Calgary version of Monopoly; where, when you land on a space, there aren't any rooms left to rent on that space, ergo you must go back to the space you were on before, or get on a train, or take away the 'free parking' and turn it into the homeless shelter.
