One of the things standing in the way of an efficient electric car (hybrid or even plain ol' battery operated) is the battery. We just haven't created a battery yet that has the power density needed, nor is able to recharge fast enough to make electric vehicles truly ready for prime time. That may be about to change.

Ah got the powah!
