I may not be the first person to coin this new term, but I'm gonna try to take credit for it anyway. You've probably heard variations on the word software - clever puns to indicate the effectiveness of different types of software. Examples such as vapourware, malware, shareware, crippleware, nagware, etc.Let me introduce Nightware (a play on the word 'nightmare'). This refers to any software that you are forced to use (in a work envirronment) that is torturously slow, unreliable and counter-intuitive, but is blessed by the corporate head as 'receiving great positive feedback'. Slow roast that over an open-pit fire, folks........
