Cathie's telling me the word on the street is that they're putting Starbucks in the Safeways. How's that for market saturation? Plus, we're getting a Superstore where the old Zellers used to be at Centre & 4th. Now I'll have four major grocery stores within a mile. Still can't get decent sushi supplies without going across town though. Oh woa is me!
It's true (see my old post - http://whitenois.blogspot.com/2004/10/enough-already.html). I think there are mini Starbucks in every Safeway now. Maybe that's the cause of the new one in Glamorgan. It's not that the area needs another Safeway - it's that the place needs a Starbucks. The Safeway is just thrown in as a bonus. "Buy a latte....... get some groceries..."

The one across the street from me Garrison Woods has a Starbucks in the store and one in the strip mall in the same parking lot
