Million dollar hype-fest
I saw the movie "Million Dollar Baby" this past weekend. Would someone kindly explain to me what the big deal was? I know it was a pretty good movie, but was it really worthy of all the hype and Oscars it got? I for one do not think so.

I have to agree. After watching it I was not that impressed. Great cast but I still think "Ray" was better. I watched it again for the 3rd time and was amazed that Jamie Foxx played the piano himself. The cast was great and Jamie completed it with an outstanding performace that was worth the oscar.
I couldn't agree more. Ray was awesome and if you have been reading this blog regularly, you may recall I predicted a win for Jamie (13 Feb 2005 - post title: Baby it's alright).

I haven't seen it yet; it didn't really strike me as something I'd enjoy. I'll wait now until it's on the movie channel.
