Is this some kind of joke?


Looks like Microsoft is trying to play catch-up to Google Maps with Virtual Earth. Too bad it looks like they could only get satellite photos from the 70's. And anything outside the US is only viewable at a scale of 100 miles per screen (See the image? That's pretty much as close as you'll get to Calgary). Dang!

Next time your on Google Maps look at my neighbourhood "marda loop" I'm living on the edge of a "Blackhole" For some reason there is a large void in the middle between 26ave to 32 ave and 19 st to 22 st sw.

In case you hadn't figured it out yet, it's a cloud shadow. If you zoom out and look at other areas along the same strip of photo (at the same resolution), you'll see similar shapes, only they have matching clouds just off to the right. Your black hole is missing its accompanying cloud.
