So as you can see, the vacation I was being so secretive about was a road trip to Los Angeles, with a return trip up the coast. Pictured is yours truly - proudly standing on the beach at Newport Beach. What a place! I wouldn't call the Newport Beach area 'swank', but at the Fashion Island Mall, the taco place made their wraps with filet mignon. By the way, after having seen a representation of the 'locals', if you think there are no long-term effects of exposure to the sun, you should see what the older women in California look like....
