Humans love this, so do it often. And don't forget guests.
Speaking of cats, we used to have a male named Taz (pictured above) and we had one of those automatic water feeder thingies. He liked the "glug-glug" sound it made when the bowl was empty and would fill from the reservoir. Since he didn't always drink enough to empty the bowl enough for the "glug-glug" sound, he would swipe water out of the bowl with his paw until the bowl would fill, giving him that sound.
