Web pages that suck (as in bad design)

If you're a budding web designer, you must read this article: Biggest Web Design Mistakes of 2004. For anyone trying to make their web product better, I think this hits the nail right on the head. Btw, I do not include blogs in this discussion, as most (amateur) bloggers know absolutely nothing about web design and either use existing templates or massacre said templates.

The opening of this article states:

"These mistakes apply only to real sites -- not personal, band, music, art, movie, experimental, fashion, and (some) sports sites."

Am I supposed to believe that MY website isn't a REAL website? What an offensive article, screw that shit. I didn't even go past this part of the article....

Hold on now. Don't be offended too quickly. There are web sites that were designed by professionals for money, then there are sites created by folks like you and me. It's not a "job" for us, it's just a hobby - right? The article applies to the former (who should know better) not the latter.

Well, it is offensive, some folks are just so full of themselves... I diddled with my own Blogger website for about four years, and did ok as I slowly taught myself about html coding and website design. I finally hired a pro to build my new site. However, I am fully capable of maintaining it by myself. I think that article stinks! Ok, I'm done! lol! :)
