Add excitement to your Xmas party

We hosted Darlene's work's Xmas party again last night (this makes it the 6th annual). For the second straight year we added a fun activity to the proceedings and I can tell you there was laughter aplenty.

I believe it's referred to as a "Chinese gift exchange". Everyone brings a wrapped gift (the max value is set ahead of time) and gets a random number. When the exchange starts, people go pick a gift from the tree in numerical order. #1 only gets to choose a gift from under the tree. Everyone else gets to either steal someone else's already opened gift, or choose from under the tree. If your gift is stolen, you get to steal or go to the tree. Only 3 steals per turn. Needless to say, the later you are in the game, the more stuff you get to choose from. I highly recommend this game for any party (the more people, the better).

There seems to be a tradition developing in our exchange. There is a feathery panty that mysteriously re-appeared in this year's pile of gifts and caused quite a ruckus. I can report that said panty has been re-donated to the host and will most definately be making another appearance next year.
