Google have been working an a project which has vehicles that can drive themselves, using AI that can sense what's around the car and mimic the decisions made by a (I'm assuming 'good') human driver.7 test cars have so far driven over 1,000 miles without human intervention and more than 140,000 miles with only occasional human control. These drives included going down famous hilly Lombard Street in San Francisco, one of the steepest and curviest streets in the nation. The only accident, was when one Google car was rear-ended while stopped at a traffic light. Clicky for the video.
