
Gordon Murray, one of the most innovative engineers and designers in the automotive world (he created the McLaren F1 supercar) has something a little more consumer-minded in the works. The new
T.27 electric city car, a variant of the T.25 gas powered model.
The almost 8 foot long car has a battery pack mounted under the seats and a 25 kilowatt electric motor driving the rear wheels. The car is planned to have a range of 80-100 miles. The first running prototype is due to be completed in April 2011.
