Ignore any claims Lysol makes on their packaging or in their ads about endorsements from Canadian pediatricians. It turns out that the Canadian Paediatric Society has never endorsed Lysol cleanser. Lysol claims it is "the No. 1 brand of disinfectant used by Canadian pediatricians at home." Lysol even uses a symbol that looks all official.

In fact, the Canadian Paediatric Society advises people to limit their use of anti-bacterial cleaning products. "The official stand of Canadian pediatricians, is these [anti-bacterial soaps and cleansers] are ineffective and a waste of money," a spokesperson of the society said.
