Here's my big question for the year: Why aren't we exploiting the immense potential of space-based solar power?Sure, the initial cost would be enormous, but investing in a system of orbiting solar power collectors and ground stations to receive that power, could stimulate the economy in a big way. Gathering the sun's energy in space and beaming it down maximizes the harvest while minimizing the environmental effects on the Earth.
