Darlene and I have discovered yet another great place for breakfast on the weekends, thanks to our next-door neighbours. The place is called The Siding Cafe and it's at 111-100 7th Ave SW, pretty much kitty-corner from the Hyatt downtown. We had already been there a few times for the traditional eggs-with-some-kind-of-meat dish. But there was an item on the menu that was calling to me. Apple pancake. So I had one today. Oh you have no idea just how frickin fabulous this is. Imagine a gargantuan pancake baked in the oven - wait for it - that is smothered in caramelized apples............... then finished with fresh whipped cream. Drizzle a little maple syrup on that puppy and we're talking dessert for breakfast. Darlene couldn't keep her eyes off of it. Needless to say, she liked it too.
